Who we are
DealRewind is a service of Stijn Fox. Privacy questions: [email protected].
What the extension sends
Only after you turn it on, and only on product pages of supported shops: the product page address without tracking parameters, plus the product name, EAN, price, 'was' price and stock status shown on that page. Also, anonymously and per shop, whether reading the page worked (shop name and result only).
What we do not collect
No account, name or e-mail address. No user or device ID. No browsing history outside supported product pages. No cookies on this website.
Why
To show you the price verdict and cheaper offers, and to build a price history that benefits all users. Prices are not linked to you.
IP address
Our server uses your IP address only briefly, in memory, to limit abuse (at most 60 requests per minute). It is not stored.
Legal basis
Consent (you turn the extension on yourself and can turn it off at any time) and legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
Retention
Price data is kept for as long as the service exists; it contains no personal data. Anonymous counts are kept for at most 12 months.
Where
Our servers are in the European Union. We do not share data with third parties. When you click an offer, that shop's privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Because we do not link data to people, we usually cannot find anything about you. Send questions or complaints to [email protected]. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Turning it off
On the extension's welcome page you can turn the price check off; nothing is sent after that. Remove the extension to stop everything.
